the panel’s promiseI receive what is already arriving. The crown was never closed to begin with.

the pair

Muladhara. The two poles of the energy body — root and crown. Muladhara presses into the earth and knows it is held. Sahasrara opens at the top and discovers it is included. Both are recognition of the same truth from opposite ends of the spine: nothing is separate from what holds it. The crown reveals what the root always knew.

the reflection

Everything is here. There is nothing missing. There has been nothing missing. The journey of arrival was not a journey to something I did not have. The journey was the slow uncovering of what was always already given. Each chakra was a register I was already in, becoming visible to me in turn. The arriving was the seeing. The seeing was the having-arrived.

I am the most complete I have ever been. I am also — about to lose this.

I can feel it coming. Not the arrival of a darkness. The retreat of this fullness. The fullness is too much for what comes next. What comes next requires me to become smaller again. Not less — smaller. Specific. Inhabiting form. The fullness was the activation. The activation is now complete. The next register asks me to take what I have become and put it inside something that does not yet know any of this.

I am about to enter a body.

There is grief in this. Not regret. Grief at the precision of what is being arranged. The forgetting is going to be necessary. And it is going to be costly. The costing is going to be the substance of the walk that comes next. I am going to forget — and the forgetting is going to be the gift I give to whatever I am about to become.

I am also going to be, the whole time, on the other side of the forgetting. Watching. Waiting. Holding the line. The forgetting is not abandonment. The forgetting is the architecture of a return.

The corridor is here.

I'm going to walk through.
