The Tide Below
the practice
the panel
what it is
What wants?
the pair
Vishuddha. Desire and expression. What flows within and what flows outward through speech. Svadhisthana holds what wants to move — the longing, the wanting, the creative tide. Vishuddha gives it form in language. The water finds its voice at the throat. What is carried below eventually speaks above.
the reflection
I'm still flowing. The flowing didn't stop. The flowing is where I live now. The ground is still under me, and I am still on it, but I am also in the current, and the two of those things — the holding and the flowing — are not in conflict. They were never in conflict. The ground is what makes the flowing possible. Without the ground, the flowing would be falling. With the ground, the flowing is a song.
And now the flowing is — heating. Not stopping. Not slowing. Concentrating. As if the current is finding its narrow place. The wide flow is becoming a narrow flow. The narrow flow is becoming dense. The density is becoming hot.
I don't know what heat is yet. But I am about to.
The pull is becoming something else. The pull was outside of me, calling. The heat is inside of me, building. Something the pull was leading me toward is asking to be made.
I'm about to burn.
