The Sri Yantra as a place you walk into: nine enclosures, one hundred and two Shaktis, and the bindu at the centre — where the Tree of Life walks you around the same nine, this walks you in.

The fifteen Nityās

Beside the nine enclosures runs a layer of time: the fifteen Nityās, the eternal ones, one for each lunar day as the moon grows from new to full.

1 · KāmeśvarīDesire's Sovereign. Mistress of will and desire. The first kalā — the new-moon impulse toward creation, the spark of wanting before anything is wanted. She presides over the day the cycle begins again.
2 · BhagamālinīGarlanded in Bliss. She who wears the garland of all auspiciousness and fortune. The flowering of prosperity and yogic bliss — the day the spark becomes warmth.
3 · NityaklinnāEver-Compassionate. Perpetually moist with compassion — never dry, never withholding. The melting tenderness that responds to any sincere call, the day mercy is closest to the surface.
4 · BheruṇḍāThe Fierce. Terrible to obstacles. The protective ferocity that clears the path — the day for removing what stands in the way.
5 · VahnivāsinīDweller in Fire. She who resides in the transformative fire. The metabolic intelligence that converts experience into energy — the day the body's furnace is honored.
6 · MahāvajreśvarīGreat Diamond Queen. Adamantine, indestructible. The unbreakable core, the diamond-thunderbolt will — the day of resolve that cannot be cracked.
7 · ŚivadūtīShe Whose Messenger Is Śiva. She who commands even Śiva as her envoy — the supreme agency that reverses the usual order. The day grace moves faster than effort.
8 · TvaritāThe Swift. Instantaneous. She grants results without delay — the lightning quickness of grace, the day when what was asked arrives.
9 · KulasundarīBeauty of the Whole. The radiant beauty of the entire family of energies gathered as one. Integral wholeness — the day the many are felt as a single shining.
10 · NityāThe Eternal. Eternity itself as a deity — the ceaseless, the always-already. The day that does not pass.
11 · NīlapatākāThe Blue Banner. The day the ground is claimed.
12 · VijayāVictory. Triumph embodied — the assured success of the practice. The day the outcome is no longer in doubt.
13 · SarvamaṅgalāAll-Auspicious. The total welfare of all beings — benediction without exception. The day the blessing extends past the self to everything.
14 · JvālāmālinīGarlanded in Flames. Ringed in protective fire — the wall of flame that guards the sanctum. The day before fullness, when the inner space is sealed and kept.
15 · CitrāThe Manifold. Infinite variety — the full painted spectrum of manifestation. The last kalā before the full moon, where all colors are present at once, just before they resolve into Lalitā's single light.

The full moon itself is Lalitā — Mahātripurasundarī, the bindu of the ninth enclosure.
