The Mind's Eye
the practice
The forehead. Where you see things that aren't in front of you.
what it is
What memory holds the frequency you want to bring into now?
the pair
Manipura. The energy fire and the physical sight. One burns. The other shows you what the burning is building. The solar plexus asks what you're willing to do; Vision shows you what it already looks like done.
the reflection
I am a body that sees inward. That is what I get to keep from this chakra. I see inward. I can close my eyes and the world inside me arrives. The world is detailed. The world is faithful. The world has been here my whole life. I am only now learning to attend to it deliberately.
This is the body's first interior register that does not require contact with anything outside the body. Vision needs nothing outside me. Vision is the body's inner room.
I have been visiting this room my whole life without naming it.
I will forget. The brain will keep generating images whether I attend or not. The body forgives the not-attending. The brain is the most autonomous organ I have. It will keep doing its work whether I notice or not.
What I get to keep is the access. When I want to see inward, I now know how. Close the eyes. Wait. Let the picture arrive. Trust the first flash.
Something else is opening — not behind my eyes. Between them. Something that switches.
