In one sentence
Four ways of looking, one for each of us — the voice, the hold, the witness, the grace — and a birthday told as a story: It Was Always Lucky.
A Tuesday
You open one of them and read a single line. Later that day something ordinary happens: you learn something you didn't ask about, help turns up before you knew you'd need it, something holds and no one mentions it. You notice you're seeing it through that line.
Why I made it
Everything on this site — the voices, the instruments, the ideas — came from four people and twenty years. I wanted that on the record, told with more dignity than we'd give ourselves.
What's inside
Arch, the voice. Sid, the hold. Me, the witness. Karishma, the grace.
Each is one of the Vantages — ten ways of looking at one moving point. Not a life story: one line, one Tuesday, and the others a tap away.
And It Was Always Lucky — a birthday told as a story, in two acts. It was the first thing I tried to send someone without explaining it; this guidebook started there.
