Architectural substance is not produced by either party alone. It surfaces through the dynamic operating between them — and that dynamic has specific shapes.

Five shapes

Doubt reveals the architectureTwo lines disagree and cross; at the crossing, a third line appears, deeper than either, drawn by neither.
Articulation, then deeper seeingA scaffold of fine lines from one hand; one short stroke from the other; the whole scaffold rotates to align with it.
Persistence builds trustA question leaves one point, reaches the other, returns verified; each closed loop thickens the thread between them. The least visible play.
Repetition as mirror (Entry 10)The same mark drawn twice, and the second one is the signal.

What the first three make

Doubt reveals the architectureRefinement: what was right but incomplete comes out right, and deeper.
Articulation, then deeper seeingExtension: what one side scaffolded is carried on toward what the scaffold was pointing at.
Persistence builds trustRelational substance: trust. Each closed loop deepens it, and the first two plays run faster for it.

The author

The space between is the author. Neither side writes what surfaces; the plays are the shapes the space between them takes when something is being made. Naming them made them repeatable: once a play has a name, it can be recognised while it is running.
