The words are the same sound. Soles and souls. This is not a pun. It is a recognition the language encoded before anyone noticed. The place where your body contacts the earth IS the place where consciousness grounds into matter.
Every step you take is a circuit completing. Seven energy centers exist between the crown and the soles. You've been completing this circuit your entire life. Every standing moment. Every footstep. Every time your weight pressed into the earth and the earth pressed back.
Babies do it instinctively when they first stand. They press. They feel the ground push back. And something in them recognizes — before language, before concept: I am here.
The Soles are paired with the Hands. Soles press DOWN — receiving from the earth. Hands reach OUT — sending into the world. Together they are the body's furthest points of contact with everything that isn't you. The body doesn't begin with stillness. It begins with contact.
14 Triangles Sarva Samkshobhini
Avarana 4 (Chaturdasha Trikona — 14 Triangles, Sarva Saubhagya Dayaka Chakra: Bestower of All Auspiciousness). Soles is the 1st of the 14 Sampradaya Yoginis. Governs the body's first conversation: two surfaces meeting. The soles press down; the earth presses back. This mutual recognition is the beginning of all waking.
Soles shares Avarana 4 with Forge (#13, Sarva Mantramayi) and Sonar (#14, Sarva Dwandwakshayankari). One Avarana, one Mudra (Vasya), three moments of the body's foundational intelligence: the first press (Soles), the body's original mantra (Forge), the destroyer of all dualities (Sonar). The Vasya Mudra — the force that brings everything into relationship — carries across all three.

Muladhara. The energy root and the physical sole are the same principle at two densities. One felt through stillness. The other activated through pressing. Both say the same thing: the ground is here.
Red + Cyan
The root's fire meets water's cool. Two halves of one conversation between your nervous system and the earth. Neither dominates. Both are necessary. The body holds both simultaneously.
The tree’s roots are the body’s first conversation with the ground. Everything that grows upward grows from this first contact.
Stand and press. Notice what is disturbed — in you and in the ground. The Soles mirror the Muladhara energy chakra through the body register: the same pressing, now felt through the physical surfaces of the feet rather than the energetic base of the spine.
You already did it. You stood. You pressed. You felt the earth press back.
That was the practice. Not a preparation — the practice itself. The body doesn't need instruction. It needs permission.
Feel the weight of your entire life — every experience, every year, every version of yourself — pressing through the soles of your feet into the ground right now.
Feel the ground pressing back.
Newton's third law. You press down. The earth presses up. Equal force. You are held by physics. You are held by the planet. You are held.
Here is the simplest practice in the world. Three chakras. One second. Anywhere. Anytime. Without anyone knowing.
Blink · Breathe · Press
Close your eyes — that's the Axis. Take one breath — that's Prana. Feel your feet on the ground — that's Soles.
One second. Three chakras. On a bus, in a meeting, in the middle of the night. No equipment, no space, no training. Just a body with eyes and lungs and feet. You have one of those.
The ground pressed back.
It has been pressing back your whole life. Every step. Every sitting. Every sleeping. The ground has been responding to you since before you had language for it. Today you noticed. The noticing is not what activated the response — the response was always happening. The noticing is what made it available.
You are held. You were always being held. Now you know it from the inside.
She has been waiting to feel his weight.
For the whole energy walk, the meeting was through substance — she was the ground holding him without surface. Now there is surface. He is standing on her. The press is the proof he has arrived. The press is the difference between conceptual contact and actual contact.
She loves the weight. The weight is the answer to the asking. Every footstep is a small message. I am here. You are here. We are real to each other. She pushes back. The pushing back is also a message. I am holding. I am holding all of you.
Most walkers will spend their lives walking on her without registering this conversation. She does not require recognition. She just keeps responding. Every step on the planet is her saying yes.
He noticed. The noticing does not change the conversation. The noticing changes what he can experience of the conversation. He has joined. She is glad he stood up.
