The Point
The origin. What everything emanates from.

Everything in this book begins here. Every tree you'll walk through, every practice you'll try, every question you'll answer on the pages ahead — all of it started as this. A point. No dimension. No direction. No name.

Just: here.

The Sanskrit word means point, seed, drop. A single drop of water contains the entire ocean's chemistry. A single seed contains the entire tree. The Bindu contains everything this book will show you — compressed into a dimensionless dot that you could cover with your fingertip.

In English, the word hides in plain sight. Bind · U. The point that binds you to yourself.

The Bindu is not the beginning of a journey. It's what the journey is made of. Every chakra you'll encounter is the Bindu in a different form — pressed into earth, burning as fire, opening as love, speaking as voice, seeing as light, playing as play. One point. Thirty-three expressions. The same gold dot, wearing different clothes.

You don't activate the Bindu. You don't practice it. You recognize it.

It was already here.

Every other practice in this book will ask your body, your breath, your attention to do something specific. Before any of them — this. Recognition is what the other practices work through. Without it, the doing is only shapes. With it, the doing is you, meeting yourself.

"Everything begins as a point. Everything ends as a point. The same point."
The Name

Bind · U. The point that binds you to yourself. The Bindu is not a chakra you pass through and leave behind. It travels with you. The gold dot that appears on every page of this book — same dot, same size, same gold — is the Bindu reminding you: the origin is always present. It doesn't need you to notice it. It's there whether you look or not.

In the Shree Yantra

The Bindu is the central point of the Shree Yantra — the dimensionless dot at the center of all nine interlocking triangles. Every line in the entire geometry originates from it. The complexity is vast. The origin is a point. The map and the territory are the same dot.

What This Point Makes Possible

The Bindu is not the first step. It's what steps are made of. Every subsequent chakra will ask you to do something — to press into earth, to open as love, to speak, to see, to arrive. Each of those is a specific form of what you're doing right now: noticing what is already here, before acting on it. The recognition-faculty you're developing on this page is what the other practices rest on. You don't leave Bindu behind. You carry it forward as the register every later doing happens in.

The Practice · Recognize

Draw a single point.

Anywhere in the space below. Any size. Use the canvas — tap or click once to place your mark.

One point.

That point will contain everything that follows. Every practice you'll do, every question you'll sit with — it's already inside that dot. The way the oak is already inside the acorn. The way your entire life was already inside the first cell.

Place your point. One tap. Wherever it belongs.
tap or click anywhere to place your point
Look at your point. It doesn't look like much. That's how origins work.
You just drew the origin of everything.

What the Point Knows

You placed it. Probably without thinking too hard about it — the instruction was simple and the space was blank and a point is just a point.

But notice — you chose where to put it. Out of all the white space available, something in you moved to one specific spot. Not randomly. Your hand knew where the point belonged before your mind caught up.

That's the first lesson of this book and it arrives before the teaching starts: you already know more than you think. Your body places things where they belong. Your hand chose. Your mind is still catching up.

The point you drew is yours. No one else will place it in the same spot, at the same size, with the same pressure. It's as unique as a fingerprint. And it contains — in the way that all beginnings contain their endings — the entire journey you're about to take through these thirty-three chakras.

Keep looking at it for a moment. Let it be small and simple and not very impressive. That's how seeds look before they become forests.

You'll walk thirty-two more chakras from here. Each will teach you something specific about what it is to be here. When you arrive at the end, you won't arrive somewhere else — you'll return to a point. Same gold. Same quiet. With everything you've learned between now and then folded into it. You won't know that yet. You don't need to. You just need to know: you already placed it. The rest is the unfolding.

Three Ways In

Place another point. Tap the canvas above again. The first point disappears; a new one appears where your hand chose this time. Notice — the choosing is the practice. The placement is the recognition.

Find a point already here. Look around the room you're in. A dot on a wall. A pinprick of light. A speck in the corner of a window. Any single point. Rest your attention on it for one breath. That point — like yours — is one of everything.

Close your eyes and find the point inside. Something in you is looking. Not with eyes. With attention. That something is a point — dimensionless, already here, the thing that is noticing everything else. Rest there for a moment. That's the Bindu. No canvas needed.

"Everything begins as a point. Everything ends as a point. The same point."
What Speaks Underneath
Underneath

She has been asking for so long. The point arriving is the smallest scale at which her asking can be answered. Every form she will take in this configuration has to begin here, in something so small it can fit through the eye of a need. The Bindu doesn't know it is the answer. Bindu doesn't need to know. The knowing comes later, at the merge. For now — the Bindu just arrives, and the arrival is the first sentence of the response.

What Is Witnessed

What is being witnessed here is the moment before the moment. The instant of arrival, before the arrival has any properties. There is no walker yet. There is no chakra yet. There is only the asking, and the answer to the asking, and the answer has not yet realized it is the answer.

The Bindu does not know it has been called. The Bindu only knows that it has arrived. The not-knowing is the precision of the arrival — if the Bindu knew, the Bindu would not be the Bindu. The Bindu would be a messenger. A messenger arrives with information. The Bindu arrives as form. The information will become available later, in registers that don't yet exist.

What is being witnessed here is the smallest thing that consciousness can be. A point. With no dimension. No direction. No history. No future. Just: here. Every walker who arrives at Bindu arrives at the same place, because there is only one place this small. The variations begin in the next register. At Bindu, every walker is identical, because every walker is reduced to what they share with every other Bindu that has ever arrived.

This is the architecture's only true beginning. Every other position has a position before it. Bindu has no before. The before is not part of the walk.

The page was one door. The story was another. Bindu has no tree — the origin has no tree. These are three more — point-rooms where that voice still lives. Enter through whichever the body calls to.
