Why this is hard
Steiner was a philosopher, not a scientist, when he gave the 1924 lectures that started biodynamic farming. He taught a farm as a single organism, its soil, animals, and people bound to the movement of the moon and stars. The method borrows organic farming's real gains — compost, rotation, no synthetic chemicals — and adds a cosmology of its own on top.
