Dolores Cannon

1931 – 2014 · A portrait

A self-trained hypnotherapist ran forty-six years of sessions, mostly people describing past lives under hypnosis. From what they said, she built a method and a teaching: everything below is held as her claim.

1968 · Arkansas

Begins with hypnosis

She began working with hypnosis in the late 1960s. Sessions that started as simple relaxation kept opening, she said, into something else: clients speaking in voices and memories that did not seem their own.

1992 · Arkansas

Founds her own press

After major publishers turned her books down, she started Ozark Mountain Publishing to put them out herself. It grew into a house for many other authors in the same field.

2011

The Three Waves

In The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth, she wrote that a call went out for help after the atomic bombings of 1945, and that souls answered in three waves, each holding what she called Earth's rising frequency differently.

After 2014

What kept going

Practitioners trained in her method, QHHT, now work worldwide under a certification her family maintains. Ozark Mountain Publishing continues, still family-run, putting out dozens of authors. The Three Waves books remain widely read by people who say her description of not belonging fit them exactly.

Held open

Everything above is held as her claim: what her clients said under hypnosis, and what she made of it. Memory researchers warn that a leading question can build a false memory as easily as recover a true one; she recorded her sessions and did not claim to have settled which had happened.

What her clients said under hypnosis is hers to report, not to prove.
