It Was Always Lucky

Dad's seventieth, in two acts

In one sentence
Two pages made for my father's seventieth: a book you turn page by page, and a descent you fall through — a birthday told as a story, with a twist on Friday the thirteenth.
A Tuesday
You open the book. The cover asks you to choose a way in; the word on the gate reads one thing forwards and another backwards. You turn pages. When the book closes, the second page opens and the screen goes dark and you're falling — gently — through a sky of the moments that made him.
Why I made it
This was the first thing I tried to send someone without explaining it, and I realised they'd open it and not know what to do. That's why this guidebook exists. It started here.
What's inside
Act one is read. Act two is fallen through. In that order.
If you want to try it
Start with the book. When it closes, descend.
